Tenuta Torciano Crete Rosse Chianti DOCG (2025)
Tenuta Torciano / Chianti, Tuscany, Italy (Gift bottle popped early in Salerno)

The Eager Tuscan Interloper That Wanted a Few More Years
Vibrant ruby-red with youthful, translucent edges. The nose is tight and fruit-forward, opening with aromas of tart red cherries, fresh red plums, subtle violet notes, and a sharp hit of green wood and spice. Medium-bodied on the palate with high, refreshing acidity, punchy young tannins that grip the gums, and a tart, clean finish.
⭐⭐ (Bright, natural Sangiovese acidity keeps it lively, but youthfully aggressive tannins mean you should enjoy with food and extra water).
Tuscan ragù, tomato-based pasta dishes, roasted meats, or simple charcuterie.
A Tuscan gift dropping right into our Campania lineup! Tenuta Torciano is well-known for sending out bottles that practically beg for a few years in a cellar, and cracking this 2025 vintage early definitely shows it. It's bright, fiercely acidic, and packs a young, muscular grip of tannins that would have smoothed out wonderfully with some age. Still, as far as unexpected gifts go, it’s a lively taste of Tuscany even if it came out of the gate a bit too fast!
