Summanera Pinot Grigio (IGP Terre Siciliane)
Summanera / Terre Siciliane IGP, Sicily, Italy

The Round, Mediterranean-Sun Island Sipper
Golden straw-yellow with warm amber glints in the glass. The nose is open and fruit-forward, featuring aromas of ripe yellow pear, white peach, Meyer lemon zest, and a subtle touch of Mediterranean scrub/wild herbs. Medium-bodied on the palate with a soft, rounded texture, moderate acidity, and a warm, clean, fruit-driven finish.
⭐ (Sitting around 12% to 12.5% ABV and cleanly fermented in stainless steel, it is light-footed, easy-drinking, and gentle on the head).
Grilled swordfish (pesce spada), arancini, pan-roasted sea bass, lemon-herb chicken, or fresh seafood pasta.
Moving from northern Pinot Grigios to a Sicilian take is always an interesting experiment. While Alpine versions lean toward sharp, high-altitude green apple, Summanera embraces the island's warmth. It trades the austere minerality for a rounder, softer profile packed with ripe peach and pear. It's unpretentious, sunny, and a great bottle to enjoy chilled after a long day exploring archaeological sites under the Sicilian sun.
