Réva Barolo DOCG (2021)
Réva / Monforte d'Alba, Barolo, Piedmont, Italy

The King of Wines Crashes the Campania Coast
Pale translucent garnet with classic orange-brick rim reflections. The complex, perfumed nose opens with aromas of ripe wild strawberries, dried red cherries, pressed rose petals, star anise, and subtle leather. Full-bodied and structured on the palate, driven by high, bracing acidity, firm yet polished tannins, and a long, profoundly elegant mineral finish
⭐⭐⭐ (Classic high-acid, high-tannin Nebbiolo structure; gorgeous to drink, but demands plenty of water alongside each course).
Braised beef, roasted game, rich truffle dishes, or aged hard cheeses.
Course three at Casamere brings out the big guns: a proper Barolo from Piedmont! Sure, we're miles away from the Langhe hills down here in Salerno, but Réva’s owl-stamped bottle is an absolute treat. The 2021 is youthful, vibrant, and packed with that signature Nebbiolo punch—roses, cherries, and enough structural tannin to make sure you know it's royalty. An incredible pairing, even if it traveled the length of the boot to get here!
