Mandrarossa Timperosse Terre Siciliane IGT (2025)
Mandrarossa (Cantine Settesoli) / Menfi, Terre Siciliane IGT, Sicily, Italy

The Vibrant, Berry-Bursting Coastal Red (Best Served Chilled)
Intense ruby-red with violet hues in the glass. The nose is lifted, floral, and aromatic, bursting with aromas of fresh mulberry, black cherry, wild pomegranate, crushed violet, and a subtle touch of Mediterranean thyme. Medium-bodied on the palate with silky, gentle tannins, lively acidity, and a crisp, fruit-driven finish.
⭐ (Sitting at around 13.5% ABV and aged exclusively in stainless steel with short skin contact, it avoids heavy oak extraction, making it bright, clean, and very gentle on the head).
Seared tuna steaks, Sicilian pasta alla Norma, grilled swordfish, charcuterie boards, or mushroom pizza.
Petit Verdot as a standalone grape is usually a heavy, tannic beast meant for long cellar aging, but Mandrarossa turns that idea completely on its head. Grown on sandy red soils right by the Mediterranean, Timperosse is all about lush, vibrant dark berries, crushed flowers, and energy. Pop it in the fridge for 20 minutes before serving—it’s an absolute game-changer for warm evenings when you want red wine depth without the heavy, mouth-drying oak.
