Lucien Arkas Bağları "İdol" Red (2023)
Lucien Arkas Bağları / Torbalı, İzmir (Aegean Coast, Turkey)

The Bright Smooth and Convivial Bistro Red
Striking, bright ruby-red color in the glass. The nose is remarkably fresh, crunchy, and expressive, jumping with intense aromas of ripe raspberries, sour cherries, and fresh blackberries, supported by subtle hints of warm baking spices, cocoa, and a faint trace of woodsmoke. Medium-bodied and velvety on the palate, featuring exceptionally cool, rounded tannins and a smooth, balanced, completely dry finish.
⭐ (An incredibly friendly, approachable, and cleanly made young red. Because it focuses heavily on fresh, primary fruit rather than heavy, over-extracted oak maturation, it remains light, vibrant, and very forgiving on the body).
Grilled meats without heavy sauces, tomato-based pasta dishes, artisanal mushroom risottos, or classic Mediterranean delicatessen and cheese boards.
If you're looking for an uncomplicated, highly rewarding table red that completely over-delivers for its price point, this is an absolute gem. By leaning into the natural warmth of the Aegean coast, the fruit has a beautiful, juicy, crunchiness to it. The Cabernet gives it a nice backbone, while the Merlot steps in to iron out any harsh edges, leaving the texture silky and velvety. It skips the mouth-drying, aggressive wood profile of heavier reds, making it a fantastic, versatile option to pop open on a casual weeknight with pizza or simple grilled skewers.
