I Garagisti di Sorgono Murru Monica (2022)
I Garagisti di Sorgono / Sorgono, Mandrolisai, Isola dei Nuraghi IGT, Sardinia, Italy

The Vibrant, Mountain-Grown Garagiste Red
Translucent ruby-red with garnet edges. The nose is fragrant, wild, and lifted, opening with notes of fresh red cherries, wild strawberries, white pepper, Mediterranean maquis scrub, and a subtle earthy minerality. Medium-bodied and silky on the palate, driven by vibrant red fruit acidity, fine-grained tannins, and a long, peppery, clean finish.
⭐ (Low-intervention, natural fermentation with moderate alcohol and pristine acidity; exceptionally gentle on the head).
Cured meats, pecorino sardo, roasted pork belly, light pasta dishes, or served slightly chilled alongside grilled salmon.
This is natural garage-winemaking at its absolute finest. Monica often gets overlooked in favor of Cannonau or Cagnulari, but I Garagisti di Sorgono turn it into something electric. It drinks with the juicy freshness of a great Pinot Noir or Gamay, packed with red cherries and cracked pepper. A top-tier Sardinian mountain red.
