The Saline, Crisp Alghero Seaside Aperitivo Bubbles
Pale straw-yellow with luminous greenish reflections and fine, persistent perlage. The nose is crisp and aromatic, unrolling notes of green apple, white blossom, lemon peel, wild thyme, and a distinct sea-breeze salinity. Light-to-medium-bodied on the palate with snappy citrus acidity, a soft, creamy mousse, and a clean, bone-dry, saline finish.
⭐ (Sitting right at 12% ABV with low Brut residual sugar, it is crisp, vibrant, and extremely easy on the head).
Fritto misto (fried calamari and shrimp), raw oysters, Sardinian culurgiones, prosciutto, or fresh sheep's milk pecorino.
Vermentino takes to sparkling vinification surprisingly well, and Guiò proves it. Santa Maria La Palma turns their coastal white into an ice-cold, palate-cleansing sparkler that trades sweet Prosecco fruit for savory sea salt, green apple, and bright Mediterranean herbs. An ideal, refreshing aperitivo pour for the Sardinian lineup.
