Cantina Produttori San Michele Appiano (St. Michael-Eppan) The Wine Collection Sauvignon Blanc (2020)
St. Michael-Eppan / Südtirol / Alto Adige DOC, Italy

The Alpine Mountain Crusher Dispatched to the Coast
Brilliant straw-yellow with shimmering green reflections. The nose is intense, complex, and pristine, offering aromas of ripe elderflower, blackcurrant leaf, crisp passionfruit, flinty wet stones, and a touch of smoky minerality. Full-bodied and remarkably structured on the palate, driven by vibrant, razor-sharp alpine acidity, a rich creamy texture from lees aging, and a long, profoundly mineral finish.
⭐ (World-class cool-climate winemaking with pristine natural acidity; exceptionally clean and fresh on the head).
Herb-roasted fish, asparagus risottos, goat cheese dishes, or fine poultry.
Moving on to course two at Casamere, and while we’re still hoping for a 100% Campania lineup, it’s hard to stay mad when a bottle like St. Michael-Eppan's The Wine Collection Sauvignon hits the table. Hailing from the steep, cool slopes of Alto Adige up north, this isn't your average grassy supermarket Sauvignon—it’s a masterclass in texture, flinty minerality, and alpine precision. Incredible craftsmanship, even if it traveled all the way from the Austrian border down to Salerno!
