Cantina Carta Filet Isola dei Nuraghi IGT (2022)
Cantina Carta / Magomadas, Planargia (Bosa), Isola dei Nuraghi IGT, Sardinia, Italy

The Wild, Sun-Baked Planargia Artisan Red
Dark ruby-violet in the glass. The nose is fragrant, earthy, and sun-kissed, opening with aromas of ripe wild blackberry, dark cherry, crushed Mediterranean myrtle, dried thyme, dark cocoa, and a hint of smoky granite. Medium-to-full-bodied with supple, structured tannins, vibrant acidity, and a long, dry, herb-and-berry-dusted finish.
⭐⭐ (Sits around 13.5% to 14% ABV; cleanly fermented with minimal intervention, it delivers dark fruit intensity without heavy, head-clogging extraction).
Porceddu (roast suckling pig), Sardinian malloreddus with sausage ragù, lamb chops with rosemary, or mature Pecorino Sardo.
Cantina Carta's Filet is a brilliant slice of Planargia red winemaking. Magomadas is often famous for Malvasia, but when local growers tackle Bovale, you get fantastic character. It's rustic yet polished, packing juicy dark berries and fragrant wild scrub into a frame that feels completely grounded in the west-coast Sardinian landscape. A stellar addition to the island haul.
