Attilio Contini Karmis Cuvée Bianco Thyrsos IGT
Azienda Vinicola Attilio Contini / Cabras, Valle del Tirso / Sinis Peninsula, Sardinia, Italy

The Saline, Sea-Breeze Island White with Ancient Roots
Brilliant golden-yellow with straw highlights. The nose is rich, aromatic, and distinctly coastal, unrolling aromas of ripe white peach, yellow plum, Mediterranean maquis (thyme, rosemary), salted almonds, and a crisp marine sea-spray salinity. Medium-to-full-bodied on the palate with a luxurious, rounded mouthfeel, snappy acidity, and a long, dry, bitter-almond-dusted finish.
⭐ (Sitting around 13.5% ABV and cleanly fermented in stainless steel with temperature control, it drinks with wonderful freshness and clarity, treating the head gently).
Bottarga di Muggine (cured mullet roe over spaghetti), grilled octopus, roasted sea bass, Sardinian culurgiones, or aged pecorino.
What a way to start the Sardinian lineup. Contini’s Karmis is coastal island living in a glass. Blending Vernaccia di Oristano with Vermentino gives you the best of both worlds—it has the sun-drenched texture and rich almond notes of old-vine Vernaccia alongside the zesty, herb-flecked energy of Vermentino. It tastes like the wind blowing off the Gulf of Oristano. Outstanding white wine.
