Our journey through the Canary Islands began with a fleeting but impactful traverse of Fuerteventura. While our schedule only allowed us to drive from the southern port of Morro Jable to the northern ferry terminal in Corralejo on our way to Lanzarote (and then back again at the end of our trip), this brief encounter left an undeniable impression.
Fuerteventura is often described as essentially one giant sand dune, and from the car window, we certainly saw vast stretches of wild, sandy landscapes meeting incredible, seemingly endless beaches.
But beyond its stark beauty, Fuerteventura quickly revealed itself as an absolute paradise for outdoor enthusiasts. This island lives and breathes adventure sports. Whether you're seeking the thrill of windsurfing or kitesurfing on its famously breezy shores, tackling challenging trails with a mountain bike, exploring its rugged terrain on foot through hiking, or tearing across the dunes in a sand buggy, Fuerteventura delivers. It's an island where the natural elements are harnessed for exhilarating experiences, making it the go-to destination if an adrenaline-fueled, action-packed vibe is what you're chasing. We may have only passed through, but Fuerteventura's untamed spirit definitely left us wanting to return for a deeper dive into its adventurous offerings.
See below for some pictures of Fuerteventura and the Ferries.

Keep those stories/pictures coming! Glad to see you both enjoying yourselves. I'm very envious, especially at this very moment as I sit in yet another meeting.
